about the event: Hanoi International Music Festival # 2 by Club for Arts and Music Appreciation (C.A.M.A.) @ American Club
I hide behind no pseudonym and couldnt give a toss what CAMA or the Minskclub crew think of this post.
This continuous outpricing of the locals (youth) who would of loved to attend it but could definitely not afford to is just shocking. I had heaps of my Viet friends show great interest until they heard the price. It just seems that these kind of events are quickly becoming 'only for the rich/ or only for Westerners'
The music in the CAMA tent lacked diversity in music, seriously CAMA lads, the murmurs have started and conversations overheard today go something like this ' I remember ONE or maybe 2 parties that CAMA organised that were good' Get some new Guests/DJs, break free from the clique.
I speak only for myself, but I will be boycotting all future events associated with either the Minskclub or Cama until regain the respect they ONCE had.

Oregano has become well known for their sandwiches, which are superb. However today I ordered one of the chicken dishes. It was exquisite, tender-off the bone and the sauce was tasty. I give Oregano 5 because of the quality of food, speedy delivery and amazing friendly service.

First things first - this is not the place for those with a tight budget, however the style of the restaurant and presentation of the food is second to none. The concept is unique, all food is served vertically- with the idea that each 'segment' gets eaten sequentially to enhance the palette."

It gets 3 stars based solely on the decor and attentive staff. However the chef needs a wake-up call, beef was tough, salmon-passionfruit dish had only the latter flavour.

Something fresh for hanoians! Great spot to chill out. Highly recommend the cocktails.
Gives me a bit of a 'clockwork orange' feel, but alas no adrenachrome.

Sure the food is not great, but this is one of the few 'old' hanoi spots still going strong. Luong (sp?) an awesome host and definitely worth taking visitors to see the other side of Hanoi

Popped in here after taking a walk around the neighbourhood
1.management greet and meet = superb
2. Recommendations made = superb
3. taste= outstanding
4. Price = you get what you pay for.
I generally stay away from rabbit food (salads) but was blown away by the taste of these, each dish a unique flavour.
Only issue I have is that the upstairs section can be depressingly dark.

I know that the shutting down of the party was out of the control of the Noizee lads and lasses, but this is not the primary reason for the low star rating.
1) Knowing that a bunch of expats were to pitch up at the party I would of expected that the toilets at least have toilet paper inside.
2) I saw a sum total of 2 (I could be wrong here) of people actually mixing beats behind the decks. The rest of the time it SEEMED that nothing more than a playlist was being played. Also were a few sound/mixing glitches in between all of that.
3) The party got shut down just as it seemed to be on the up...
On the bright side it was nice to see the venue utilised again!

What has happened in the last few weeks? I have been 3 times in 2 weeks and am disgusted.
1. Staff sitting around the bar with their feet on the counter.
2. Having to walk over to the staff to get service.
3. Today (Sunday) no burgers, no chicken which is something I'll usually overlook, but considering the limited menu options, one would expect at least for chicken to be available.

Just finished at Festa and was pleasantly surprised! Drinks to less than a minute to arrive, food was no more than 10 minutes, service was impeccable and had a lovely chat with the Owner/Manager Marco who was very polite and welcoming. Also received comp drinks, the Gin and Tonic was more than generous! Will definitely be returning.
