I went in after playing 'Barney' to 8&9 year olds all morning for a Saturday afternoon of relaxation. I must say it was the best massage I have ever had in my life. The prices were outrageous, luckily it was a birthday present and a fabulous one at that.
I had a package of massage, manicure/pedicure, and a facial. I purely enjoyed every second of it, i was entirely transported out of Vietnam in terms of how hygenic and modern everything was. Great food, great service, will have to treat myself for another one before I return to Chicago.

I need to find a job that pays well. I am from Chicago, and I am looking for something that does not require a minimum of a bachelor's degree!
I will be moving out there in about a month, month in a half something like that.
Teaching English would be nice, and I guess that there are online certification courses which are a breeze!
So let me know what you guys think, and this includes anything in the realm of tourism too, I would really like that as well.
Take Care! Hope to see you all very soon!

Where can I find a middle East cuisine? Like hummos, and kafta and falafel with pita bread! I see that dragonfly has sheesha, but does it also carry the food of the culture?
Thanks! See you around!

Where does everyone go to church? It seems that all of the church information I have is wrong, and I have been showing up at random places every Sunday for the past two or three weeks where there isn't even a church!!!
Help?
Where should I go to get tested for Malaria. I do not have health insurance, and, while I could ask for a pay advance, I do not get paid until next week. I don't feel like waiting until then. Any help is appreciated.

Hanoians oi! I have officially moved back to chicago and miss my motorbike, not to mention the price at which I could've bought a nice used one in Hanoi! Is there anyway that I could get one shipped over here- what are the costs of shipping? Or, does anyone know where to find a similar Honda (general gear shifting kind- NOT the SCOOTERS!) in the states? Thanks so much. Missing many of you!

Hey De2facon,
Thank you for the advice. I didn't know that my writing skills could come in use when looking for a potential job in Vietnam! Great news. Is there any way that you could elaborate on that end a bit more?
I would like to find a job doing that somewhere!
Do you know where I'd look to find it?
Thank you for your response,
Jess

Ha Long Bay. I think it is one of the most magnificent displays of natural beauty in the world today. It is kind of a three hour trek away though.
I recommend going to Hanoi's ' lake', which I am unfamiliar with the name, but I would imagine people would know what I am referring to, at about 8 am if you're up, to watch hunderds of people working out doing tai chi, around the lake while the early morning mist is evaporating.
I have a close friend who is a tour guide. You can contact her if you like and she will show you around.
Her name is Nguyen Hang, and her contact info is +84913320206 .
she is fluent in English, and really kind.
She is also familiar with the foreign crowd and knows where to go!

yes, so long as you're a native speaker that should find you a job! Just contact many of the agencies and listings you can find... hint.. there's several under the jobs section of this website- don't hesitate to apply even if they stipulate that you hold a degree- i dont have my bachelors and i still teach- and get paid well for doing so.
I also know of many voluntary programs, and in fact, would like to begin one of my own in central provinces of quangnam (near Da Nang.) A village called Dai Loc, the orphanage there would ADORE to have foreign teachers as they used to, and the children are really great.
Contact me for details please.

Does anyone know of a cheaper rental place? Prefferably for the university students? I have asked around and found that they will rent them from around 300.000vnd per month, but that is an estimate, and one for a local at that!
Anyone know a cheaper area?

oh no, I heard of some for around $20 a month, but I don't know the exact location, and I don't trust the guy that told me about this place to in fact accompany me there. I am looking for anything cheaper than the norm al $50 range. I suppose you are right though, quality does matter, but right now I care more about quantity due to other traveling expenses I plan on incurring this month.
It should make for some good stories at the very least, no?
