Nice friendly people, cheap drinks, open late. I went there on a weekday and so I can't really say anything about the music but it reminded me of a nice local neighborhood bar.

Coming from LA, this place reminds me of the trendy(in a good way) bars in Hollywood. Its a great place to impress a first date or just have a few drinks after work. The tapas are also great, my favorite being the cheese dip and the tuna. Yes the prices are a little bit more, but you are paying for the great decor, superb staff, and ambience.

This is probably the best buffet you'll find in Hanoi. Good mix of sushi, seafood, salads and meats. All top quality food and helpful, friendly staff. It is quite pricey though, Sunday lunch for 2 came out to 135 USD. For those that frequent Vegas, think of Bellagio/Paris buffet quality with 1/4 of the selection.

Hi,
New here to Hanoi and looking for a stylist who specializes in fades, any suggestions?
Okay, I'm used to eating Pho with Hoisin Sauce and I can't find any here. The strangest thing is that i can't remember any restaurant I've eaten at in the US that didn't have hoisin sauce. Yet here, in the birthplace of Pho, they have none. Anyone know where I can get some?
Whats your vote for the best pizza in Hanoi?

From my understanding, most of those cables are phone/dsl cables. There are only a few power wires on each pole.

Well this is Hanoi, the birthplace of Pho, so I guess I really don't know Pho. Now that we've cleared up that fact, know where I can get some hoisin sauce?

I knew my life would change coming to Hanoi, but I didn't think it would change that much. Pho without hoisin sauce! thats like a hamburger without the bun! Thanks for the info, I'll check out the two places and see if I can get some there.

Just to update, Tried out the hair place at Hanoi Towers. Joe Tan wasn't there, on vacation supposedly(tried calling back 2 more times these past 2 months and always "on vacation in Singapore, will be back in 3 weeks") so I had an extremely attractive woman do my hair. She didn't quite butcher it, but it was obvious that she was uncomfortable doing my hair. The actual haircut I give a 5 out of 10, everything else was great though.
So next up was Daewoo and even though it was a smallish barber shop he did quite an excellent job. I would give this one a 7.5 out of 10. Also I paid $7, I didn't get the foot massage though so I don't know if it had any bearing.
Bear in mind, my hair is extremely hard to cut. My hair grows in quite a few different directions and few people can cut it right.

I couldn't take the Chicago Bears starting Kyle Orton so I came to the one place where you can't get American football. Then i realized he's actually pretty good, but now I'm stuck here because I bought a one way ticket.
In response to the question: Not: I’m traveling Southeast Asia. Not: I’m teaching English. Not: Because my parents screwed. Why are you here?...

Viettel will be bringing the BlackBerry 8700, BlackBerry 8800, BlackBerry 8100 and BlackBerry 8320 to Vietnam this October. The 4,000 devices on the way will be the first shipment Vietnam sees, and Veittel is lined up to be the sole distributer in the long run.
I have a blackberry also, but I have no idea how to set up the email. If you figure it out, shoot me over an email. It would be useful. Mine is unlocked, so I can use the opera function, phone, text. But i have no idea on email alerts/transfers and blackberry messenger.

I would recommend any of the USB(not analog) DSP Plantronics headsets. I am not sure if you can get them in Vietnam but I used Plantronics headsets for the last 8 years for both VoIP and PC gaming. Sennheiser is also good, I have never owned one but tried them out and they seem very good and I've seen someone using Sennheiser earphones here so they might be available here.
In response to the question: I am looking for any recommendations on a voice over IP (VOIP) headset. I am looking to spend no more than arond $100. I would prefer a wired headse...
