If i could give it 3 1/2 stars I would. The place is very nice. Everything looks professional, right down to the uniforms. I think the coffee is quite good and quite reasonably priced when you consider Highlands has upped their prices. One of the problems i have with it is the price/quantity of the food. The food is waaaaaaaaaay overpriced for what you get. When i saw the serving size (compared to the price), I thought i was sitting in Rome. This is Vietnam for *&^6% sake. There definately needs to be an improvement with the menu. I will drop in here for the sole purpose of having a coffee. Unfortunately for them, I have bypassed Segafredo on a number of occassions and had breakfast at the newly opened Highlands Coffee. They off a much better choice (breakfast, lunch, dinner). I do believe Highlands has really slipped in the past few months (pricing, no loyalty card anymore, cutting corners with the food). Therefore, it would be a perfect time for Segafredo to change a few things steal a few clients.
Another issue i have seems to be with the staff. Well, it's not an issue with them, it is more a question of "where have they gone?". Every time I go there, there seems to be new staff and I feel as though i never see the same person more than once. Maybe it's a training centre and they are in and out within a week. I only put this down as a negative, because they all seem to be so nice and do their absolute best to please you.
Overall, definately a 5 star place in the making.

Had my 3rd visit to Green Mango a few nights ago. I thought I would pay attention to the quality of the staff. Once again, the food was great. Admittadly I got the same dish as I usually get. In saying that my friend chose the rissoto and loooved it. Anyway, I have no complaints whatsoever about the staff. I don't know, maybe i am not someone who looks for every little detail, but i thought they were friendly, professional and attentive. I had a lady and she was great. So far, it is still one of my favourites in Hanoi. Favourites for quality food and enjoying a little bit of class.

I'm re-rating my review. I was definately a little harsh giving 2 stars. It is definately worthy of a pass. Owner and bar staff are nice people. I just couldn't understand why it rated so highly.

Like everyone, I was a little skeptical about going to this joint. I'm not sure what the Australian connection is as well, but it is probably a good marketing ploy to get us westerners there. Anyway, I had to get a crown and clean done. The clean was not a good clean. I think it cost about 100,000. It wasn't very thorough, but i suppose for $6 what could i expect. On the other hand, I was really happy with my crown. I got a titanium crown done for about $120 (from memory). At first I was a little worried that it wasn't going to fit properly. However, I ended up (and still am) very happy with it. For the price I just can't believe it. I know you shouldn't really take too many risks with your teeth. BUT, it was quite clean and fairly well run. I suppose another negative was that they pushed back my appointment by about an hour because a 'new' customer had come it. I don't know if new meant 'emergency' or new meant 'we already have your money and we want there money too'. Overall, i was very happy and considering it costs about $1,500 for a titanium crown where i come from, i just can't complain.

I've been to the R&R on a few occassions and I could not believe it when I saw it had such a high rating. I don't if all of the reviews are legit, but it is quite an uninspiring joint. If your looking for 'Cheers', where you see Norm & Cliff sitting at the bar (minus woody & coach), then this is the place for you. Maybe after living a few years in Hanoi, I must of just accidently missed the big nights. But, if you are looking for a place where teachers might hang out, then you will find it. I don't know. It just lacks atmosphere. The food is ok at best. Nothing to write home about. The staff seem to be quite nice. The lady that works there during the day is very friendly. The owner seems like a nice person too. Overall, it is a friendly place where everybody knows your name.
