This is a pretty good computer supplies shop. They have all the usual supplies such as keyboards, mice, fancy USB sticks, MP3 players, card readers, LAN cables, etc. What they don't have in stock (e.g. a cable-TV box for the laptop) they get from elsewhere immediately.
Ms Nga speaks English well enough to get you what you need. Her staff also does computer/laptop repair, and each time I went I was completely satisfied.
Highly recommended !

Had lunch and later coffees and a fruit salad at Koto today, and found the service very good and the red river fish and chips excellent!
Large tourist groups can perhaps be irritating to new Hanoians but there are four floors; so at most times, there should be a chance to find a quieter corner.
I definitely recommend this place, also for its WiFi access.

Update
Snellopy, many thanks for your suggestions.
Went to the Warehouse which only had one bottled French beer type, unknown to me.
Annam has Coopers at VND 67.000 per bottle.
During my stint in Melbourne I came to appreciate Carlton but did not expect to find anything other than VB in Hanoi.
Please keep me updated should you come across VB or Carlton, which I defininely prefer over Bia Hoi, besides Bavarian Weissbier. Will also try the Australian Embassy barbie.
Thanks and regards.

I also heard they are offering lessons at the University of Fine Arts. In addition, maybe the information contained in this article is still valid?

I'd say "Mobitel"(012)has the best coverage in both urban and rural areas; it also has the highest number of subscribers.
I had started with the "Hello" provider (016), however, switched to Mobitel after a few years as friends and colleagues were unable to connect to my (Hello) network, particularly, after working hours.
Regarding costs, I would say, they are more or less similar; calls within and from Cambodia are definitely not as cheap as in/from VN. I once saw a comparison article on the very useful (Aussie-managed) website: http://www.bongthom.com.
Cheers.

Not sure.... but - at times - I observe some odd questions being asked ...
Aeroflot - Hanoi
4 Trang Thi Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi Tel: (04) 8256742, (04) 8256184, (04) 8287377, (04) 8287376 Fax: (04) 8256184, (04) 8249411, (04) 8287376
Is this what you need?
Kind regards,

Well, for me, foremost, it is the dynamics, the energy of the place - everything is in a constant flow, and people are still eager to advance.
Also, the quick understanding - without having to use too many words, the brightness of the Vietnamese, the kindness of so many (those who have been to Laos - a beautiful country though - will understand).
It is also the progress, I see, compared to 'stagnating' Phnom Penh.
It is the place where I had my first job overseas in development cooperation, some years ago.
It is also the place where, like 'mcfromao', I have found love (though not Vietnamese).
Kind regards from good old, cold Europe (with lots of snow). Back in Hanoi very soon.
In response to the question: Not: I’m traveling Southeast Asia. Not: I’m teaching English. Not: Because my parents screwed. Why are you here?...
