Nice place but full of International students on Friday nights. Is it just me, but when the crowd aren't even 18 yet, it creeps me out a little.
But other than that, good place, drinks, decor etc.

Awesome bar, with fantastic mix of dance and hip hop music. You can request songs also, and the DJ is pretty good.
The drinks are so cheap, and the cocktails are fantastic. Not sure why I got a shot of vodka in a normal glass with ice though.
The music is really loud yes, but there are different parts of the whole venue so you can go elsewhere to talk. The dance floor is really small but I still really enjoyed dancing.
Mix of VNese and foreigner's, expats and traveller's.
Lot's of fun. Will most certainly be back

Good place, very clean and nice bed's/decor etc. I stayed in a big room with one other person and we had a balcony overlooking the street. No street noise either.
One minor complaint though which wasn't as bad as other hotel issues - I had stayed 2 nights, then went down to Hue, and warned them day's in advance I would be coming to stay from 7am Monday morning to 6pm at night just to have a shower/hold my bags until airport time. I arrived at 7am (after they assured me that it will be open) to a closed door (we could see the clerk sleeping inside but couldn't wake him) and we had to wait for 30 minutes outside. Then we checked in, but was told our booking was for the other hotel. We went next door to the other one to a line of 4 groups of people waiting for the hotel clerk to wake up (sleeping right in front of us). I asked next door to call the hotel to wake him up!
Fortunately, everything was ok with our room, and no problems, except it was a small room. When they say small, they mean small. Very very small. I would go mad for a long term stay here.
Overall, excellent on the cleanliness, and good on the service.

I'm sorry if this has been asked, but I have searched for answers and can't seem to find any.
Where can I find a decent sunscreen/sun cream? I bought some yesterday and it has a little UV protection (according to the box) but I think it is only whitening cream for Asian skin with slight UV protection.
Does anyone know where I can get natural/organic skin care and/or hair care products?
I hate using products with chemicals, and need to continue with my natural skin regime!
Does anyone know if there are any government restrictions or regulations on hosting charity events?
More specifically, I want to host a concert in Hanoi in October or November to fundraise money for a charity marathon run that I plan on doing.
Are there any law's or restrictions from the government on these type of events? Any thing's to be aware of?
And while I'm here, anyone know of any venues in the centre that will willingly host an event like this?
Thanks in advance.
Where can I buy gluten free bread and pasta?
Is it even possible in Hanoi?

I won't be in Hanoi until July 08, but am really interested in dance classes. Dancing takes up about 4 hours of each week here in Melbourne so I really feel like I'm going to miss it!
I do latin, ballroom and belly dancing at the moment, and have done ballet, jazz and tap in the past so I'm up for anything!
In response to the question: I am a trained dancer in ballet, jazz and hip hop and I need dance classes when I move up to Hanoi! Does anyone know about any dance classes here? I...

Yes would love a training partner. I don't live near the centre, but I am willing to drive in.
I'm training for a 10km run, so my training is rather intense, but at the moment I'm still taking it fairly low key.

Yes when I went it was quite difficult. I was with a Vietnamese though so I didn't need to direct myself, but I did try and remember the way. But it didn't work with the amount of alley's and small roads we went down.
In response to the question: I would like to buy some gifts and have been directed to Van Phuc village. Any idea how to get there by motorbike?...

jtyo, I'm guessing you were asking me, but I'm not sure.
I run usualy around my area, because it's the easiest, but I don't have any nice parks to run around or lakes etc. The streets are difficult because of the condition of the footpaths. Therefore, I usually drive into the centre to go to a nice park or something, it's more motivating also.
I usally try and run at least 3 times a week, and aim for 4. Let me know if your interested in running together.
