Although it's a smallish space, they've done an excellent job here. All the food is wonderful and I've been several times already. I live just down the street, so dropping for to-go food has become a habit. I recommend the spicy lamb pita, which comes with a REAL salad (not iceberg lettuce) and also potato salad too - only 65k. Staff are the winner here too - all well-trained and friendly. Desserts are great and the sushi appetizer is one of my favs. I agree with Michal that some items are a little pricey. Still, I think Five will be around for a long time.

One of my favorite places to work. For those of you looking for a place with reliable wifi and staff that will let you pound away on your laptop for hours, this is it. They have nice coffees, some good sandwiches, and fresh juices. Manager's name is Anh and he works hard to make this a great place. Wouldn't recommend for a dining experience, but would say it's good for meet-ups (fantastic location and view) or for those looking for a cafe they can use as work space.

For a night out, presentation and service can't be beat. Staff are friendly and well-trained -- they don't stand guard over your table, which is nice. The space is beautiful, altho there seems to be an echo problem. (When friends and I visited, another table of four across the room made it impossible for us to hear each other at times. Still, that may have been bad timing on our part.) Wine list is a notable plus. For our budget, this is a once-a-year place, but definitely worth a try. We ordered the tasting menu - a la carte is less pricy. Have not had the lunch, which I hear is more reasonable. A thoroughly enjoyable and delightful dining experience.

One of the best finds in Hanoi. Clean, family-friendly, and great atmosphere. The hotel has an amazing location near the lake, free wifi, all day tea/coffee bar, plus an on-site art gallery. Deluxe and VIP rooms include bathtubs. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent. Tour and visa services available, many with no service charge for guests. A Tripadvisor favorite!

I have a daughter who is 13 months old and was wondering if there are any play groups near the Hoan Kiem area. We were even thinking of starting one, since we have a pretty big space downstairs. Let me know if there are any reliable play groups ongoing or if anyone would like similarly aged children and want to begin something. My dates and times are flexible. Thanks!

don't remember the number, but the tailor across from 61 Hang Be street is excellent. I've brought in some difficult to copy things, and they've done great work for reasonable rates. best of luck!
In response to the question: I am looking for a seamstress/tailor that could copy dresses for me for less than 100,000 each (I'll supply the fabric). Preferably someone who can un...

Great info, Stosskraft - thanks.
As per grubby's suggestion, I started a group on this site for interested parents in the Hoan Kiem district with children around 1-2 years old. We're looking for any and all ideas so that we can hold a meeting soon. Thanks again!
