I checked this place out yesterday. After explaining to me the membership prices, benefits and showing me around, they told me it isn't open to new members! Shame, as I've checked out most of the hotel fitness centres in Hanoi and it is the best one I've seen so far. It is open to casual users, but at the discretion of management; which means that if you turn up and it's busy, they can refuse entry - pointless really.

This place is fabulous!. They appear to specialise in lamps and cushion covers, but they also do beautiful pieces of furniture, clothing and bric a brac. I bought a beautiful bamboo/glass shelf and bamboo ladder for my bedroom. The staff are very sweet and delivery is free (even the delivery men are lovely!). It's on the pricey side, but the quality and design are outstanding. They have a new branch around the corner and the interior is gorgeous.

If I had to say anything negative about it, it is that they absolutely refuse to give discounts, even if you intend to make large purchases. But I'll definitely be back!

  After months of not being able to find a good trainer in Hanoi, I'm bringing out my PT from London for a few weeks of hard core training. His qualifications include Kinesiology TFH 1-4, Advanced Kettlebell Instructor AKI, Premier PTS, NASM CPT, Bsc Hons Sport & Society, HND Sports Coaching, SAQ, Female Training and Myofascial Soft Tissue work, and he is a manager of a well-known gym in central London. He'll be here until the mid/end December. If anyone is interested in training with him, PM me and I'll give you details.
