Please do feel free to recommend me on a good spa( ie. one that do nice and firm swedish massage or hot stone massage). I'm a qualified Alternative therapist so extremely fuss about the work. Somewhere nice, clean and offer great customer service would be highly appreciated.

Also, what are good pubs or clubs in Hanoi. Somewhere music aint so loud as i found music in bars/ clubs in Vietnam are sooooo loud which is a big turn off. Also nice place to hang out and have fun.

Last but not least: i wanna know what sort of entertainment available in Hanoi. Please tell me as many as possible as my social life is goin down hill at the mo. Thanks in advance!!!

Where Can I get the following items? 1-Milk 2-Philadelphia Cream Cheese 3-Triffle 4-White/ Blue Tack 5-Sexy looking Lingerie 6-Collection of Sue Townsend's books. 7-Women's magazines (Cosmo, Instyle, Glamour) that isnt 2 months old and at ridiculous expensive price. Am I ever gonna find good friends or good company, people that really be there for me and let me be there for them ever again? Or is it impossible in Hanoi? Somehow, right now, for me everything is just so superficial! And I guess I could be in the middle of the crowd and yet, still feel so isolated!! My social life is kinda suck!!! Need help!

A woman at work wanna know where she can take pole dancing lesson for fitness purpose. So I wonder if anybody out there know any place that offer this kind of lesson. And she dont mind to pay for one to one lesson either so if you offer this kind of service or know anybody that do, please let me know. Surely you'll put a smile on certain lady out there!

Ok, guy, this is the address you need . The shop called Hanh Thom on Lang Ha street. Basically as you go toward Giang Vo, you will see it on your left with the name of the shop Hanh Thom cosmestic.

They have everything you want. I got all my cosmestic stuffs that i cant seem to buy elsewhere here.

I'll try to get the actual address within next week for you lots.

Luci hopefuly you have found the salon.
I had my hair ruin twice and learn that not all salon here is good.
I asked for layers and they gave me layers (exactly two layers and it was disaster, you can see the 2 layer like layer cake).

Mr Lam at Lansalon able to sort it out, he is the only one i trust now. His salon is in sofitel, Lansalon, $18-20 for a cut but it worth every penny. He wash, wet cut, blow dry... the normal cut i would normally get in England.

Im gonna try out Just Massage very soon , thanks to opera. And I'd def post my review very soon on that topic. I'm thinking of writing up a good spa and hairdresser review to certain standard that I used to do for my job in London and post it up for everyone ref, lol.

Gonna try out Dragonfly next sat i think as this sat kinda busy myself and see what wesmo's taste like. I like to dance my night away on sat night and chill out in a cozy bar on sun night!!

You can go to HCMC and have it made for much cheaper price. Check out the Binh Tay Market (i think thats what its called). Thats the market do everything and everythin u can ever asked for and need for your big day!

Just to confirm one thing "It's not down to the fact who I'm hanging around with, it's the superfical thing that bothers me (no matter who I'm with-no matter where they come from- Vietnamese, or non-Vietnamese, lol)!! But never mind, life is good, surely I cant have everything I want!!! But again I have everything I need, so on a positive note, i'm young, fun, intelectual minded, successful and hot, plenty of people to hang out with. Hence, Life is good!:)

Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my entire life!!!! Well, Im not sayin its entirely untrue but im totally disappointed by most of the answers that had been given esp. TangoLA

Basically what you all done is generalising the whole population and accusing every Vietnamese/ Hanoian woman having the same styles and same manners, same attitude. That's just ridiculous!!! Human Rights Please!

Me, a well-educated woman, may raise a few points for you all to consider.

1st of all, everyone is unique in their own way, know what you looking for in a girl/ boy for your own good but do not assume that the person you meet will have everything you are looking for or worse, dont try to change them to meet your requirements.

2nd of all, not all well-educated Hanoian women got married by the year 24-26 to a third party and hang out with Vietnamese boyfriend and desperately want to get married and fulfill the dream of being a good wife and good daughter-in-law, living as slave to their husbands, esp well-educated women of my generation (people in their 20s).Things had changed PEOPLE!!! Wake up please!!!

3rd of all, if someone is truly well-educated, they will understand there is more than superficial, shallow appearance. For goodness sake, if someone decided that she doesnt like you because you are bald, it doesnt sound like shes that well-educated anyway. Run for your life, my dear!

And moreover, not all well-educated women give a damn about social dancing. Like I said, everyone is unique and special and have different interests so PLEASE dont just assume everyone will be the same hanging out at the same spots and doing the same things. Gosh what kind of society it must be if all women doin that? I thought older people like you lots would understand these things better as the years gone by ... but hey, guess not!

Last by not least, players aint good in any kind of society, so dont just say that players isnt good in Vietnam!!!

With all due respect back to ARCTICTIS, Whats wrong with feeling confident in my own skin?!! Which I'm sure most of the people out there got no idea about. Only when people understand about themselves and truly have the connection with their innerself and happy with their own look, thats when they are truly in touch with themselves. You wouldnt believe that the people run around for plastic surgery because they dont believe that they are good-looking enough is DEEPLY IN TOUCH WITH HER INNERSELF right. Cos if you are, gosh, do get a life. Or at least read some book about SELF-DEVELOPMENT.

Energetic and super laid back is something of an anormally no? Gosh, you are really sad! But hey, i respect your view! Whatever you wanna believe is entirely your decision.

To top it up, we were born not to be entirely one thing or other. Like for sure, and fingercrossed that you understand that we werent born to be entirely energetic 24/7 and super laid back 24/7. Cos if thats how it supposed to be, then PLEASE, give me that life. UNFORTUNATELY, we were born in such a way that makes us capable of being lots of things (like Energetic, urm, i dunno, what about, doing sports and coming up with ideas all the time, and ready for everything that may come at us, but also super laid back when it comes to progression and choices of places goin out, what to it, forgiving others,...etc.

Well I do hope that you would be able to open your mind a little bit more. All one can do is HOPE!!!

This discussion just make me feel bad for all the women out there. Fine! Leave me out, say im not like one of them you are talkin' bout.

But still, for all the people who blame on their working hours, get a grip of yourself, get a life. My job is great and I absolutely love it, but there is NO FREAKING WAY that I'm gonna let it get in the way of my social life. Everyone needs a career, but PLEASE do find the balance because there are much into life than just work, work, work like a workaholic.

And for the people that are truly gold-diggers or being materialistic . Thats just sick and digusting! I hate those people. The reality is you do find those people in all society and there isnt much that you can do about it (Ok, Sad I know). But I guess you'll know who your real friend is after a while.

Also, I kinda feel bad that Riki hasnt seen anyone that would be willing to give him a smile except the little girl on the street. Our society has got rotten to the core! I'll try to make a change in my world then, at least from tomorrow I'll give my taxi driver a smile!!!

lol, im all about women rights these days so I'm sorry that went on a bit too harsh on you lots. So to leave it on a positive note, Riki, hope you'll find the well-educated woman that you are seeking for. And to the rest of you, well, ...work hard, play hard and enjoy yourself while you can. Life is too short and it's for living. To all the ladies (regardless of your races and nationalities) out there, love yourself and respect yourself, value yourself and learn to connect with yourself because if you don't, nobody will!!...

Xuan Thuy do a good range of the massgae tables and beauty supplies. Add 18 Bach Mai, 29 Kham Thien.
Tien Thinh also same massage beds at cheaper price but they dont give out VAT receipt so you cant claim it back for your company.
Hanh Thom on Giang Vo also do beauty supplies.
All those one listed above offer the worst customer service of all time, dont be suprised.
If you need professional beauty supplies and machine, products, waxing, etc.. PM me and I'll give you the address.

P.S: Those beauty supplies are all filthy! Dont expect too much. Btw, I'd only purchase equipments from them, not products btw as most products are fake!!!
