Hi guys,
Im looking for a good gym which has enough equipments that do not actually fall off during your work out :(!
Im considering Horison and Sheraton. Has anyone been there? Pls give me some advice.
Actually both are way too far from where I stay. If you know any other place closer to Hoan Kiem Lake, please let me know too.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a place where I can rent out motorbike on monthly basis. It would be good if they have Vespa or Piaggio.
Please let me know about the price range too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi guys,
I just got back from Cambodia and found a really good bar there in Phnom Penh. It's called FCC and I had absolutely wonderful time there. They had the band from Vietnam (I think) with live
Latino music that kept people on the moves for the whole night.
I was searching through the events and cant seem to find some place similar in Hanoi. If youhappen to know one, please let me know. Im dying to 'enjoy life' again.

phew...:)) that was interesting (and lengthy)
I have been back for a month and been to most of the popular places in Hanoi.
Surprising enough to see a number of Westerners, guys and gals, just sit and drink and probably looking for someone. I thought coming over and say 'Hi' was not that difficult for you guys.
What about coming to the monthly-meet-up to find eligible bachelors, ladies? :)

Im actually looking for that too. I dont really like buying them off from those beauty supplies, I think there are a lot of fake stuffs there. People told me those shops might refill the bottles with something else. I've tried a shampoo and it was really bad. So yah, if you guys know any Body Shop Brand Distributor, pls let me know.
Im gonna visit Parkson on Thai Ha street, gonna let you know whether they have it.
Or else, if you just need shower gel, Loccitane works as well.

well, generally, there would be no problem in Hanoi, except in night market.
Both local people and foreigners had their bag slashed. And it is extremely hard to get a police reference to claim with your insurance company.
I've got 2 wallets and a camera stolen, so you guys should be extra careful in those crowded markets.

For the taxi, pls call 8262626 - that's the cheapest one and very reliable.
Or else, you can try 8535353 or 8266666

I visited the electronics store on Vincome last week and saw a cute small DVD player (black color) for 600.000 VND. They provide warranty too. I guess that would be cheaper then going to Hung Yen.

I think you should visit that store, its on 3rd or 4th floor in Vincom.
You can also find a wide range of TV/LCD there. They have 19" one.

You can try looking for those shop on Hang Trong St, around Puku cafe area. There used to be a number of them there
But I notice there is one small shop at the corner of Ly Quoc Su where it meets Hang Bong St, they do designing and printing T-shirt. Im sure you can get your stuff done there.

tell you what guys,
I was totally ripped off last night too. He was taking me by shortcut, which is a good thing (plus Im local he cant cheat on me)
But couldnt take my eyes off the meter clock and see how fast it could go. I complained and he said It's like that.. blah blah. From Trang Tien St to Softel Plaza cost me 80K VND, can you believe that. And the 'no change' drama repeats too. What a jerk!
I got off and toke another taxi from Hanoi Tourist or st, it was expensive too. Im renting a bike! No more taxi problems.

But from all of my experience, Mai Linh Taxi is good and reliable, but the price is a litter higher than others.

I always use 2666666, it's super cheap! I never have any problem with them.

local ones are smaller size, I heard :D
so make sure you choose the right one.
even Vietnamese people prefer Durex, so I guess ur better off buying those.
You can find them in most pharmacies. There is one Japanese brand which is more expensive and even better quality. You can try them out too.

Yup. Normally work visa health check involves those above which ofcourse includes a full blood test.
