Pure garbage, short and sweet they could care less about service and the quality of meat is ropey, fatty road kill.

• Hi folks!

  My second week in Hanoi and a great deal of time has been consumed 'hunting' for the necessities. The list is starting to whittle down to a manageable few items. Can anyone advise where I may be able to find the following:

  * Maker's Mark Bourbon (Whisky). Most liquor stores don't carry.

  * Utencil draw for silverware.

  * Shower caddy (Goes around the neckof the shower to store shampoo, etc)

  * Papertowel holder

  * Excellent quality kitchen canister's

  * Digital alarm clock

  * handmixer with attachments

  * Excellent quality knife block with knives

  Success in one area today. I found Knob Creek at Vine. A close second to Maker's. The price was outlandish at 1M VND, capitalism at it's finest!

  I've already been to Intermix and bought a couple bits and pieces. I'm still searching for better quality. The downfalls of having Bed Bath Beyonds, Linens N Things and all the other amenities at my disposal for all those years.

  I will certainly check out Fisslers.

  I bought mine from the Sofitel Metropole. Expensive but very good quality.

  I'd certainly buy them. I have to ziploc baggie a couple containers at a time and bring with my luggage each time I return to U.S. Thailand has, GNC junk, but is very expensive and not the quality that most activists are use to. May want to look at growth too, for those that are avid.....

  Goto Syreena Towers (Frasier Suites) on Xuan Sieu and there is an electrical store on the second floor (First Austria) that sells most electrical items. I bought my alarm clock there for a reasonable price.
