Hanging out back home in California

I recently went to a Green Building conference hosted by the Vietnam Green Building Council.

They're a small but very passionate local organization. I recommend anyone interested in green building to get in contact with them: http://www.vsccan.org/vgbc/

Hey guys, my farm is starting to sell organic veggies from Dec 15th. It's gonna be box scheme ( meaning you pay in advance and get a box of variety of seasonal vegetables delivered to you) everyweek. If anyone is interested in ordering, plz contact me. The drop off point is gonna be at my office. We are an NGO and not a retailer or business or a shop so what you order is gonna come directly from the farmers. However our office is a drop off point just to make it easier and cost effective for the farmers. Any question, shoot me a msg.
Thanks

Hi everyone, in an attempt to try and compile a list (click Lists in red menu bar) of sources for eco friendly, green, organic/"safe" products in Vietnam I have started a list :). Not sure if this will work but if anyone has anything they would like to add to it please send me a pm, thanks!

Hi, we are starting to work with a group called Bai Thuong Organic vegetables who are supported by AusAID. They are currently in conversion to full EU organic certification. This will take them about another 2 years to complete. However, the vegetables are produced according to EU organic guidelines. The other groups we are in discussion with are currently working under Eurepgap level standards which they have developed with METRO. We also just started to discuss with a group in Hoa Binh supported by JBIC to meet Japanese organic standards.

We produce EU organic certified tea products in Vietnam and also stock EU and USDA certified organic spices from Vietnam.

As you probably know, internationally certified organic production in Vietnam is just getting started because it is very difficult and expensive.

Are these vege groceries certified organic? Do they have organic certification in Vietnam?

Hi, this group is a very nice idea. A lot of our shop customers have also shown interest in organic vegetables and in starting a vegetable buying group or club with regular deliveries. So now we are starting to link with some farmer groups and projects to see about quality, availability etc. and see if starting a buying club is feasible. If anyone has any information about good sources of organic vegetables or if you are interested in joining a buying club then feel free to send me a message. Thanks!

Oh, and there is an organic vege shop just off Au Co Road(Westlake). I haven't been there yet, but apparently they have a great variety of organic fruit and vege.

I was looking for hardy type vege seeds for plants like tomatoes and cucumber..I found some on 'plant street', haha. Don't know the proper street name unfortunately, does anyone else know it?

Hi! This is a great idea. As an organic vege gardener in Australia I've tried my luck with chives so far, but would love to find somewhere to source other vegetable seeds and plants. If anyone knows where I could pick some up that would be helpful! Oh... and for you energy conscious people out there cleaning those air conditioner filters does wonders!!!
