I am looking for some kinds of music to play in an art gallery. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Classic Jazz...like...trumpet, saxaphone,piano and quartet.
Works of jazz musicians like D. Brubek, T. Monk and M. Davis.
Just one person's opinion based on the link to the gallery website.

You might want something that does not bother too much. New Age and Instumental. Some jazz is good but also some can be a little annoying to hear. Depends on who it is. Some Classical can also be nice...simple like cello and harpsichord or something like that. look inot Yo Yo Ma for that kind of thing.

probably it depends on wich kind of art is on your gallery...

have seen some paintings on your website. I was thinking about "air" (french band. you might find CD's in old city CD shops) or compilations like buddha bar, etc. These will probably fit the "light" paintings (like dream and so on). For some other paintings more "baconian's" self protraits then, Lydia Lunch, Cabaret Voltaire, curve, dead can dance, etc might be appropriate (but not sure visitors will appreciate...). Depend's on what "ambiance" you want to create in your gallery. For a simple choice you might connect on internet and listen to streaming radio's. Lots of choices with Itunes.
Wish you success for your shows.
