It's almost meet up time for all you New Hanoians out there. Tomorrow night (August 23rd), we'll be packing the ever accommodating Green Mango. The whole first floor of their fine dining establishment will be all ours, so get there early and stake out a spot. The crowds are likely to swell as the night goes. For general site members, there is going to be three hours of free beer awaiting you. We'll have a computer on site for any arrivals who have yet to join, but its always a good idea to get your friends and colleagues to sign up before they show up. It certainly speeds things along. Also, motorbike parking for the event will be just down the street a bit from the actual restaurant at 46 Hang Quat. You can take your bike directly there, and they will be keeping the lot open for the duration of the party.

The Newly Announced TNH Elite

For the newly designated "Elite Users" of TNH, far more awaits. To thank those who have gone out of their way to make The New Hanoian such a dynamic online community and information source, Green Mango will be dipping into their outstanding wine stocks, including a glass of bubbly upon arrival. On top of that, our group of TNH gurus will be getting their choice of a wide selection of finger foods from Green Mango's top notch menu of delicacies. To make sure you've got a spot, visit the August Meet Up event page and click on the "I'm Attending" link. If you're an Elite User, you will have received an email, and you'll see your avatar now has a dotted red border around it. Currently, only 23 of the Elite Users we've contacted have rsvp-ed for the event, so if you're one of the others and you'd like to get in on the fun, get to the event page and tell us you're attending. The fun kicks off at 8pm, so head to 18 Hang Quat Street and look us up.

Finally, due to a whole series of new developments that are going to be rolling out on the site over the next six weeks, and the accompanying management changes that will be needed, we're going to take a bit of a break from the Meet Ups and User Prizes. They'll be back with a real flourish in October, and all those great contributions we've been getting won't go unnoticed. We simply want to make sure that the new features launched are done so with all the quality you've come to expect from the site. We'll be sending out further newsletters to describe each of these new features to you so that you know what to look for, and so you can give us feedback on what you see and how it works for you. We're excited to see plans long in the making come to fruition. Even more exciting, however, will be seeing all of your taking part in it.
