I am currently a teacher at Singapore International School right across the street. Since my lunch duties involve taking the students across the streets to use the fields, I'm here a lot. This actually means that almost every week day between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm there are young students running around on the fields. Other than that, it's a great place to play soccer or tennis. They are currently planting gardens, and have a water tap right next to the fields to wash off. Additionally, the little cafe has some decent lunches and ice cream. But when it rains.... it is heavy mud that doesn't clear up for at least 6 hours. The soccer fields have no grass and the areas around the goals get pretty messy, even when there is a tiny bit of rain. But if you like gettin' dirty when playing, go for it!

I used to play football here semi-regularly with some of my students, but have most recently been back to play basketball. The basketball court is pretty decent and not too expensive.
There's a little shop in the middle of the place selling drinks and some sporting goods but don't expect any western size clothing.
There have been some fairly major changes here recently though - the football pitch at the front has been replaced by more tennis courts and they've split the large-ish football pitch at the back into two smaller ones. So it seems that tennis must be more lucrative or desirable than football.

Although the name says Sports Bar, it’s only because it’s attached to the sporting complex with tennis courts, basketball courts and a soccer field. There are no big plasma screens on the walls, no jerseys or sticks or rackets or any sporting memorabilia up. I hate all forms of exercise equally, so I'm reviewing the cafe/bar.
It has two different sections. One is a cafeteria com binh dan, point at it and it goes on the plate or in the Styrofoam box for 20,000. It is really good value, and we regularly choose it for lunch. The eating area is always busy and crowded, so takeaway is often a better option (though I think the serves are slightly smaller - but I am not good at estimation so could be wrong). This section only does lunch, and gets busy quickly, so by ten past twelve it is impossible to find a seat, and it’s hard to get service. There are only two people behind the counter serving the food, and it is the normal sort of scrum to get service. There's a good selection to choose from, and you can normally choose two sorts of meat and about 3 different vegetables from those on offer.
The other part of the place does breakfast, normally noodles, or sausages and eggs. It also has fridges with beers which we sometimes avail ourselves after work when it’s pouring.
It does a passable job of feeding you at a nice cheap price, and the beers are always cold.
