Chim Sao is a great place to go on any night of the week. I love that you can sit on the floor, and just chill. I have been here with many different sized groups on many different nights of the week, and it is always suitable. It's always busy serving foreigners as well as locals, and it's great tasting food comes at an excellent price for the quality and size of the dishes. My only problem is that on several occasions, things I have wanted to order from the menu haven't been available, and the staff aren't exactly super friendly.

I eat here at least once a fortnight, not only because it is convenient to my work, but also for it's excellent and inexpensive food. It's always a-buzz with diners, the staff are efficient, and I have never been disappointed by the food. My favourite dish: Khanh Ngao. YUM!!!

I love this place for its multi levels that bring a different vibe as you move on up. A nice home away from home, reliably open all night long where you can be sure you'll bump into someone you know... The Tet Bar Special cocktails are dangerous though!!

The Mexican buffet on Thursday nights is the best value in town! Okay, so it isn't exactly AUTHENTIC Mexican, but is that actually possible anywhere outside of Mexico?? It tastes good, the accompanying margaritas go down well, and with a bunch of people this is good fun!

It's slick and it's stylish, and it reminds me of a bar from home. I like that it is clean and that there is a lady in the bathroom to pass you hand towels! It's almost too posh for Vietnam...but is that a bad thing? I'm still undecided! The crazy flashing lights on the dancefloor freak me out a bit...it's hard to focus on your friend when their face is constantly being dotted by moving lights, but I have no complaints and every time I have been there I have had a fun night! They also looked after my motorbike for me overnight after the TNH meetup.....

I only just recently discovered this place. After many, many meals at Au Lac next door, I decided to go here insteaad when it was raining one afternoon. After being supremely happy the first time, I have since returned, and it is safe to say that the food here is GOOd (and that it wasn't a fluke!). The variety of both Western and Vietnamese meals at a reasonable price and in a relaxed setting mean that this place is going to become a regular haunt.

I just took a group of 15 people here, and the service and foos were both great. It is a perfect place to bring a group of people, and is a great introduction to Vietnamese food. The price is always reasonable, the staff very friendly, and the fact it is always busy with both foreign and local diners MUST mean it is good!

I DO love the food here, but due to the expensive prices, it can be somewhere I only save to go to every now and then. It is totally worth the drive from the city centre to get there, and it never disappoints in relation to the food, but the total of the bill makes it restrictive to become a regular place!

One of the great things for me about living in Hanoi is the opportunity to find nice fine-dining style restaurants which present good quality tasting food at a fraction of the price for what you would pay for the same thing at home. Five is still on the pricier side for going out to dinner, especially if you order a bottle of wine, but it is a great place for a nice date with someone special. The service is impeccable- the moment your water has dropped below halfway in your cup, one of the staff are there filling it up! A nice touch is a free taster/entree while you wait for your meal. It has been different on each occasion too, which is nice! I've tried a few of the dishes, and think the salmon is the best- the coconut sauce is addictive! My only advice would be to NOT try an obscure cocktail from the list, as the one I tried for something different was not so great (something with ginger and cinnamon I think?) so stick to margaritas and mohitos if cocktails are your thing (these tasted amazing!!). Oh, and English teachers particularly might cringe at some of the spelling errors on the menu (I believe this was getting sorted out though!)

In this review I am only able to comment on delivery and the NEW festa just opened in Ba Dinh on Ngoc Ha. My partner and I have ordered in festa many times, and all but one time, have always enjoyed it. I'm addicted to the roast vegetables and bruschetta as entrees and have always enjoyed the pasts and pizza and fritatas. While a little on the pricey side, the ambience and service when eating in is always worth it. I also appreciate the nice wine selection! There is no pizza oven at the new Ba Dinh restaurant (yet) and the lightng was a little dark, but there is a lot of effort that has been put in to making the outside courtyard a nice one to dine in. The one time we were diasppointed with our delivery- it was late, the servings only half filled the containers, and there was no bread which always comes as standard- we called up and received an apology and a free bottle of wine was brought to our house. Now that is the kind of service you don't often get in Vietnem! The new second location is so super convenient to my house I am sure that festa is going to continue to be a favourite of ours!
