Hi all, I've been here for 4 months. still newbie in Hanoi, because too busy for work. I'd like to try to enjoy Hanoi. Nice to see u and know this forum. see u soon :)
Can I suggest Pacific Ber Hall, 281 Doi Can, Ba Dihn It does great bia Hoi - Very large glass for only 8000, and the foods not bad either! Should you want/need to eat...
I think, we should cancel the meeting for beer next 2 weeks for joining the Brewer 's event on 20 March. As I joined before and I found it was really fun and great. and I'm going to join this 20 March event also...
just read all of your pm'es. thanks for trusting me. i really appreciate that. right now, i'm just involved in a new business of mine, that consumes lots of time. but i'll try the best to keep up with the new job on here. thanks again
Hey no plan for a post-Tet party because I'm new in town (moved here a few weeks ago)...but if anyone has an idea for a get-together I would definitely be up for it! Always looking to meet new people :)
Hi all, just moved to Ha Noi, Ba Din district. All though I can't move in until the 22nd... Tet and all. Been in the same hotel now for 21 days! So any get togethers i.e. drinks planned in the near future, I'd be only to happy to attend! Cheers
Hey guys - same situation for me. Just arrived in Hanoi today and still need to find housing. I'd definitely be interested in meeting up for a beer. Let me know when/where...
well, then I think, 1st, gather in R&R in Tho Nhuom street at 7pm then we see else where to go next. I leave you my phone number: 0906 272 118 in case you need to contact....
hi, guys... I have arrived just in time to catch Tet, its been pretty crazy so far don't really know what to think at this point... but yea, hope to see you all around town. Is there any where people meet up after work?
hi, I am moving to Hanoi. I arrive on friday! Just in time for tet. just saying hi to all... any advice you all can offer... I am planning to find a room to rent somewhere near the old quarter, but I have never been to Hanoi, or Vietnam for that matter... I imagine I will be looking for a homestay for the first week or so before I can find a place to rent..? Any advice? Also looking to buy a Minsk too, any advice people can offer on that, I am new to motorcycles... looking forward to arrive in Hanoi
Welcome to Hanoi! :D You should walk around the old quarter and Hoan Kiem lake. I think you will find something interesting there. How long are you going to stay in Hanoi?
I've been in Hanoi for a few weeks now, and my best spots so far... Daluva (near Xuan Dieu, where I live!), Le Pub and Funky Buddha. Still learning though!
If the goal is to meet people, let's not forget the famous bia hoi corner (Ta Hien / Luong Ngoc Quyen) ! 3.000 VND beers, lots of expats and travelers willing to talk to each other. Lacks a bit of Vietnamese for sure, but like most of these bars.
There are many members here! But when will you gather periodically?
we meet every 2 weeks, on Sat.

Any of the bars on or around Ta Hien are a good bet with a mix of tourists and young expats - Mao's, Funky Buddha, Cheeky Corner, Dragonfly ...
Some of the cafes are great too - Puku, Cafe Nola.
Oh yes, right. Nola and Puku are different, they are more some kinds of typical relaxing places than partying clubs for expats.
Gecko (next to Puku) is one of these kinds of good surprises, too.
