In an effort to raise money to aid the chronically impoverished ethnic minority groups of Dien Bien Province, the Chi Em Project brings Vietnamese rapper Kim, DJ Kruise (on turntables), and Thuy Minh as MC to Roots Bar for a one-night costume party fundraiser. Entry is 100,000VND (which includes one free drink and a free gift for the first 35 guests). All proceeds go toward the construction of a rice stock house in Dien Bien.
