Weightlifting gyms near Tay Ho?? - Hanoi Answers

Weightlifting gyms near Tay Ho??

Does anyone know of a small (or large) weightlifting gym near the Tay Ho area? Local gyms are preferred, but if I have to join a chain then I have to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

If you know someone who lives at Ciputra, then they can sign you in as a guest for 50K vnd per session. Ciputra has a decent gym with weights etc.

I tried looking for gyms near Tay Ho too but not found anything apart from this one.

There is a weight-lifting gym at 148 Au Co, in Tay Ho. It's above a shop called T & T handicrafts on the Red River side of the dyke road and it looks to be a serious affair.
I've never been myself, but I've seen some rather hunky Viets go in and out.

I joined the 148 gym as well. I really like it. It's a decent gym with a lot of local bodybuilders (or at least aspiring bodybuilders). It's pretty hot during workout times, but I like to sweat, makes me feel like I get a good workout. Yes,as ckofs mentioned, the equipment is pretty old, rusty and dirty, but that doesn't bother me. I used to work out at a government gym in Taiwan that was exactly the same. And for 150,000/month, you can't beat it!!

I'm told, not that I've been, that there is a gym at the Community Centre at the top of Ngo 13, Xuan Dieu. My mate said it's a basic but very functional bodybuilding gym that costs 70,000d/month.
