I'd also like to know if anyone can find a dark room with enlargers.
If you can get hold of the chemicals and a tank you don't need a dark room for development, but I don't even know where you'd get those here.
You might try asking in the photography group here ( search groups ) or at http://www.photo.vn/

I think the Fuji place on the corner of Giang Van Minh and Kim Ma might do it. They sell black and white film .

Nguyen Cau on Ba Trieu used to develop my BW film (both 35mm and 120 roll film), but the branch I used to use (there were 2) closed down. I went to the other branch, which is a few doors down from Bobby Chin's on the same street, but they either couldn't offer the service any more or they couldn't be bothered to deal with a complicated request.
When I lived in HCM City, the lab I used told me that BW was expensive to develop because they had to order the chemicals from Singapore.
I've got a few BW rolls to be done myself so I'll let you know if I find one (also searching for a place that can develop slide too).

Regarding my last answer about Nguyen Cau - just got some Black and White rolls back from them: not a great service.
Negatives scratched, and scans were really noisy - no good at all. (Of course they insisted it was all fine...)
Basically I reckon developing is OK, but not getting scans. Printing seems to be on colour paper anyway so don't think it's worth it. I'm going to invest in a negative scanner and do it myself I think.

Hi
There is a shop at 2D Quang Trung St that advertises it does b/w.I used it maybe 3 or 4 years ago and it was okay. I had the same problem with b/w at Nguyen Cau about the same time.
There used to be a shop in Hang Hom that sold chemicals, trays,paper,b/w film etc - mainly Agfa chemicals and paper - but it has disappeared in the last 12 months.
which is a pity.
It primarily was selling oils for artists so maybe someone knows if it has moved or actually closed down.
As Grubby said long ago you just need a tank and a dark room if all you want to do is develop film.
