We are looking for a decent sized coffee plunger. We have the small size (1 cup) with the gold lid which we purchased at a supermarket for 50000 vnd but we are tired of having to make two lots everytime we both need a Tonkin Coffee coffee.

Hi
If Western doesnt have anything to suit try Highlands Cafe at Hanoi Tower - have up market plungers @ 500-900,000vnd - Bodum - I think thats correct.

Has anyone found anywhere else that sells reasonable coffee plungers?

Hi Dan, a few months back I bought one from the lady who sells souvenirs along Au Co service road in front of a large restaurant. She is on the left side when you are coming from Nghi Tam. She sells handbags and other craft things, but also had the large coffee presses. Good luck!

I bought one at the indoor Tom market on Hue in Hai Ba Trung.
You'll have to look around a bit though because not everyone sells them (try the housewares stall at the front before going to the ones further in).

I went looking for the place on Au Co, no luck, couldn't find the place. However, I was told the the side street next to Dong Xuan Market, where they sell kitchen wares for restaurants etc. may have them.
I also dropped in Oasis in Xuan Dieu and chatted with Marco about it. If you want high quality? He stocks a few Bodum brand, 4 cup, french press, coffee plungers for roughly around 750k.
