Hi all,

I was wondering if there is anywhere to go climbing around Hanoi. Mostly intersted in indoor but if there was some nice (well-bolted) sports climbing in the surrounding countryside I would be well up for that and have adequate gear (quickdraws, harness, shoes, rope).

I was also hoping to do some climbing (i think it's mostly going to be outdors). I like to boulder. Please let me know if you find anything.

Hi all,

About indoor climbing, there is a tiny bouldering wall in Hanoi. We're currently working on setting up a bigger wall. Be ready...

About outdoor climbing, there is some possibilites in Quoc Oai (bouldering, Ha Tay province), Sam Son (bouldering, Thanh Hoa province), Ninh Binh (routes). These crags are the closest from Hanoi.

The best remains Deep Water Soloing in Halong Bay.

Did some bouldering in Quoc Oai ...closest to Hanoi...I can accompany you guys if you're keen...Im free on weekends. Deep water soloing in halong but much better to do it with your group and rent a boat.
