Anyone who is a member or aware of a Filipino community in Hanoi? Could you name their contacts or ways to contact them?

The only members of the Filipino community I've come across in Hanoi were a pair of teachers who worked at Cleverlearn last year (no idea of they're still there), and members of a couple bands who used to play at Seventeen Saloon and My Way Hanoi Opera. I don't know if that helps you any, but if you track any of them down, they may have more suggestions for you.

A few of them would meet at Melia's Latino Bar on Wed evening around 8pm.

And they also go to the church on Sunday morning. I heard that the Philipine embassy is quite hospitable, guess you can start from there.

I read that there is an group called 'Pinoy in Hanoi' one of its member is working in the a hotel, i believe its Sofitel. In case you were able to get some information regarding the organization, can you give me the details too. I'm a Filipino and will be working there starting September 20.
I'll give you some updates in case I get hold of additional information.

Does anyone know where to get Filipino Groceries?? You would think in Asia it would be easy.. but its easier to find filipino markets/food in California! Hehe..

Last week i went to the darts at Finnegans on a Wednesday night, and there were 4 Filipino's playing there, 2 i knew from long time, and 2 more new faces.
PM Danthetaydevil, he knows them well enough.

You could always try the phillipines embassy, they might hold social functions like the australian embassy does each month. There use to be a phillipino team in the darts league, mabuhay, which had about 15 players a couple years back, dont want to generalise but the phillipinos I know tend to be pretty migratory, they seem to move around alot for work so the community is everchanging in hanoi.
If you PM me your email i can put you in touch with some Phillipino mates I play darts with and maybe they can point you in the right direction.
Alternatively turn up a darts next wednesday night at finnegans upstairs about 8, we have 2 regular phillipino guys who come to play each week.
