I've seen a group of people with cameras gathering at various spots around hanoi talking about photography, lighting etc. Though I must say I didn't get any specific information. Last time I saw the group together was last weekend at the Kitchen on Sunday(or Saturday?) morning. There as at least one teacher/administrator from UNIS involved who seemed to be the leader of the group. Unfortunately, that's all I got for you.

The photographer who owns the shop on Trang Tien street, half way between the Opera House and Hoan Kiem Lake, on the south side; goes out to the countryside to take photos with a bunch of his pals and other budding photographers. He was (a year ago) happy to take foreigners too.

Thanks for those leads - I'll chase them up!
