Election night/morning partayhay

2 years in and it's almost over. Kinda unbelievable really. I know of the AmCham party on Weds am and the Fusion one at noon. Is there anything else happening on election eve? Where's everyone gonna be the night of or the day after?

I'll be in my church praying that the Muslims don't win!!

Not sure yet. Just hope it doesn't involve punching my computer screen and tearing up my passport.

Looks like a few of us are starting at Hoa Vien tonight for some Czech beer. Heading over there around 7:30. We can always migrate if someone has another idea.

Goddamn, I've been waiting for this night...

That's Hoa Vien Brauhaus, south of the Opera House if anyone's curious.

Forget the election, CNN just channelled Star Wars and had one of their correspondents reporting in as a hologram. Princess Leia lives!

Groundbreaking debut of a valuable new journalism tool, or a cheesy technological overkill? Time will time.

Yes indeed, a puppy is coming to the White House as Obama just revealed in his acceptance speech that he had promised Malia and Sasha a puppy if they were good.

One Hell of a Speech. Good damn. It even got through my cynical skin.

Lets hope he governs half as well has he talks.

WooT!!!

Agreed, teacherman. I really appreciated his comment, "This victory tonight is not the change we seek... it just gives us the opportunity to make that change."

I hear people are heading to Roots tonight...

And Obama's announced his choice for Chief of Staff.

A Harvard educated African American, a devout Jew, and a Roman Catholic will soon be in charge of the executive branch of the American US government.

... and a Hispanic is on the short list to be the next Secretary of State.

No wonder American Republicans are curdled up into tight little balls under their beds, whimpering.
