You can drop by any sport shop in Trinh Hoai Duc Street(near Nguyen Thai Hoc Street) to get the free weights, iron bar, complex weight machine, gloves...as you like.
The best thing is to go to a gym club near your house and to lift weight with others to have some fun.

I got a bench, metal bar, plastic dumbells, and 84kg in plastic weights that I bought around there. I paid something like 4,000 or 5,000 per kg for the weights. The bench was 800,000, the bar maybe 100,000 or 150,000, the dumbell sticks were cheap.
I am heading back to america soon so I'll sell you any or all of that for 50% of what I paid (2000 per kg, 400,000 bench, 50,000 bar, free dumbells).
