Does anyone know HOW people are informed of planned power outages? Over the loud speaker? On the neighborhood chalkboards? etc. Would love to know cause they seem to happen just when I need to do something that requires power. How hard can it be to learn a few words to be more informed on this? haha. Thanks in advance, Steph

Apparently, scheduled power outage is informed on news media (paper, some e-zine). I dont think they would do it on loud speaker nor chalkboard.

In my office, they put A4 sized notices up at the lifts. Incidentally, we've had 6 days of scheduled power outages in the last month.
Sorry, that should have read A3 sized ... Alpha, Grubby, oi, any chance of adding an 'edit' function for posts?

Khumbu ơi - it's been on the list for a while - it'll come soon. Meanwhile I don't have any objections to seeing two tiger snouts in a row, although I hope you haven't morphed into a big cat out of anger...

Last month, "Tap Doan Dien Luc Viet Nam" announced that they would post the schedule of Planned Power Outages in advance on their web page. It was for the first time that such information is available to the public. Please, check out "http://www.hanoipc.evn.com.vn/EVNShow/tintuc.asp?CategoryID=913" or "Lich Cat Dien" section from the main web page.
