Yes indeed, just chose a random jeweller on Hang Bac about 2 months ago to get my gold chain repaired. It is an 18ct gold rope chain. They did their best and it cost a whopping 30,000VND. Fixed and ready to go. I then managed to break the actual catch and had that swapped out for 80,000VND. Cheap as chips. It did help that I had someone Vietnamese do the bargaining so could be an interesting experience on your own.
