I used Google Earth ruler and made it 1.96km or 1.22 miles. That's pretty much hugging the edge of the lake and crossing the bridge in the NW corner.

using same I made it a little over 1.5 miles going the long route (including the north end)

go to mapmyrun.com they use google earth and you can track your run and it will tell you more than just how many miles/kms. It's very cool. HK is 1 mile Truc bach is 2k if my memory serves me correctly
