We have heard a rumour that upon leaving Vietnam you can get your tax back from working as an ESL teacher. I've been looking on the internet but everything sounds a bit vague. We've been paying 10% tax while we have been working as non-contracted casual teachers, for approximately 20 hours a week. Is there a specific length of time that you need to work to be entitled to this? ie. 6 months? Is there anywhere you can get official inormation and should my school know about it when I put it to them?

Ill double check with some of the staff where I work. But I doubt it if you did not have a contract. I think that it has to be contracted to a minimum of 6 months.
