Tax rebate

Tax rebate?? I will finish my year contract soon and would like to know how to go about getting a tax refund for the tax I paid here in Vietnam?

Why would you be entitled to a rebate?

I wouldn't have thought that you could claim it back.

You need to work with your employer to do a proper personal income tax finalisation on an annual basis or when leaving the country. It's possible but not easy and you should be sure you are actually entitled to a rebate and not to pay more tax before you get into it...

Ill second Gunkstas comment, depending on what you earn (work-permit an absolute must) and the tax arrangement with your employer, tax rebates are possible. It requires a bit of paperwork from your employer and of course Human Resource knowledge.
