popcorn popper and a beanbag
no photo available

I know the beanbag question has been asked before, answered, then answered again with there are no beanbags to be found... but has anyone found a source for beanbags since please? i need a beanbag or two.

ALSO

i need an electric popcorn popper if i can find one. or a place that sells decent pots and pans with long handles (they all have those short grips on the sides - why?)

where is a place that has lots and lots and lots of appliances beyond the usual blender, kettle, etc range? please....

thanks!

Relax.... beanbags can be found! I have 2 and I have them from Dome. They can make them in a lot of colours, not cheap though. Mine were about 22 usd per piece and thas was a while ago.
For colourful ones, try the furniture shop in the Vincom towers, sorry, forgot the name. Recently I saw beanbags there as well.

If you want cheaper ones, try Can's rattan. They don't have them ready made, but will make them to order.

As far as appliances go: I would try Metro, was there a few days ago and they have expanded their appliances section.
Almost opposite the Metro is a large appliances store as well, but that is geared more to washers, dryers, TV's, DVD players and the like. But it might be worth to have a look there, as I remember that they did have a kitchen appliances section as well, it's just that at that time I was out to buy a TV only.

You have to have a Metro card to go and shop there, do you have access to one?

Can't really help you with where to go... but I just use the short handle pots to make popcorn, with a towel to hold the handles. Works just fine for me (just make sure you don't leave a bit of the towel hanging down of course!).

It's probably not helpful, but four years ago I bought a beanbag chair in the northern part of the Old Quarter, on a the street where they sell blankets and small beds and pillows. It cost about VND100k and it lasted about two weeks at my house before my dog peed on it and we had to put it out on the street.

I'll drive by the street tomorrow and see if the store still exists.

There's a furniture store on the second or third floor of VinCom towers shopping mall. It's called Rossano, and the last time I stopped by they had two or three different bean bags.

Also the electrical shop in Syrena plaza in Tay Ho definitely has poppers. The same brand shop is in the Big C complex. (Sorry name escapes me-I am not in country at present) Also L'Oeuf has great funky beanbags. Showroon in Ciputra. They had an add somewhere on the New Hanoian site earlier in the year.

I just need the foam beans - I already have the bean bag cover. Do any of these places sell the beans separately?

The Nguyen Kim electronics store on Trang Thi has a good selection of appliances and they deliver to your house and have warranties on some items. I bought my oven there today. Just head west on Trang Thi from the bottom of the lake and look for the big store on your right playing really loud dance music.
