Interest in a hip hop party

Hi, a friend and I are thinking about throwing a hip hop party and we're just trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested in coming. We would probably try to do it some time in August at Ngoc Bar La Scala (the place of the last New Hanoian Meet Up). Please give feedback. Thanks.

Yes!
Although I won't be here in August, if I were, I'd be all over a hip hop party.

For sure Wes! Any party other than the wash-rinse-repeat ones are welcome. Good venue to hold it too, was thinking of doing an tech/trance party at the same venue.

Fully man, if you do it, people will come. You should check out the Noizee 365 party too - there'll be hiphop early on.

Hell yeah!

Why wait until August? :)

I just arrived in Hanoi on a 15 day tourist visa, but if all goes well I'll find a job, get a work permit and be here until October/November. I was wondering what the club/party scene here had in terms of hip-hop, so was delighted to see your post. I'd be well up for helping out, too - I have over 5GB of hip hop on my mp3 player (including a fair bit of quality UK stuff that Hanoi might just about be ready for) that i'd be more than happy to share, or possibly even 'DJ' with.

Nick

Would advise against Nok Bar for a party unless you want to be charged a lot of money for bringing them business, have crap sound, no air con, electricity cuts and finally have the police shut the place down by around 11.30pm. Oh and do not pay for a buffet for your party...unless soggy cold chips, prawn crackers you could wear as shoes and deep fried corn old enough to foster enough ergot to satisfy Timothy Leary's eternal soul are your thing...

You have been warned.

Hmmm, in light of recent events, thinking about switching the venue to Stones 1. What do you think?
