Hello all Hanoians
I am on my way soon to Hanoi to search for my sons dad.
I have name, birth date, birth certificate copy and picture as well .
Could anyone give me any hint how or where to start ? I did hear how hard it is to find someone there and feel that i should be prepared little.

The most important details : His name is Nguyen Nhu Loan , born 28.7.1956 You can see his picture in my photos.
Your information is not enough for me to give an advice. The detail should be: -Where he was born. -What does he do(his job) -where his hometowm is -when did he come to VietNam -His name sounds Vietnamese but I am not sure he is vietnamese or foreinger. -Does he have any frendships in Vietnam -what his favourite is( somethings likes sport, food etc.)

I'm not sure that you should be having this discussion in the public sphere. It may be better for Ivana to send a private message to kentvn - or preferably to meet kentvn and verify he is who he says he is. Not sure that your child's dad would want the whole New Hanoian community knowing his personal details!
agree , i have the same feeling . My idea was that maybe someone know some address to institutions there i can find and hire translations and maybe some agencies that have people for this .
