Does anyone one know a good place to buy those plain but effective bamboo mats you see everywhere by west lake where you go to eat lau? If so what's a good price to pay for one? The boards on the floor in my flat are scratched quite badly, so I need something cheap to cover them. Any help would be great!!!!

I've seen street vendors sell them off their bicycles in my hood (Dong Da). Not sure if that helps you...

You could go to Hang Chieu Str. People there mainly sell products from bamboo, especially many kind of bamboo mats...

Hang Chieu Str is a crowed and long street near Dong Xuan Market, it would be easy to check in map. I have gone there and bought a nice and cute bamboo bag. That's great!!!
