Hanoi Answers

Piano

I have a friend coming to hanoi who is training to be a concert painist. She has been given a grant to come research the effects of French Colinization on traditional vietnamese folk music and will need acess to a piano in order to practice for the month that she is here. Does anyone have a piano they would be willing to let her use, one that she might borrow, or know of a place that might have practice rooms? Of course we would pay for any of these services. Thank you so much for your help as I think this is a rather difficult request in Hanoi.

I don't suppose your friend or you want to buy one? My roommate left a few months ago and left behind an electronic keyboard (full-size) that she wants me to sell for her. If you are interested, let me know. I'm not sure what price she's asking yet.

Yamaha has a showroom on Ly Quoc Su - opposite La Restaurant. They may be interested in renting her time.
