no photo available

I have been doing some freelance work during my stay in Vietnam and I am being paid in VND and would like to convert to $US, where would I get the best exchange rate?

Thanks

Gold shops also give a good rate. Today I took in $30US and they gave me 485,000 dong, which converts to 16,166 dong to $1US. I went to a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong between Ba Trieu and Pho Hue, near the Cho Hom Market.

woops, saw that you want to convert Dong to Dollar. Not sure what the rates would be for that, but would still try out the gold shops.

definitely Gold shops are the best.

They all have more or less the same rate so unless you want to change really huge amount of money i don't think it worth going around town. you might just save a couple of dollars.

agree with chemeleon. Ha Trung is the best place to go. I normally get good exchange rate at a shop called Quoc Trinh (more or less, in the middle of the street)
