Any recommendations for a good pedicure place in Hanoi(hopefully with not exquisite pricing)? For my girlfriend I swear! She's worried places here will (literally) butcher her feet, and she's Vietnamese so there must be some truth there....somewhere.

I've used Hanoi Towers for pedicures and manicures, and can highly recommend them. Probably not the cheapest in town, but they do a good job.

I hear hair workshop is great (they have massage chairs like in the States) but it cost over 100,000 VND for a pedicure when it usually cost 5000-10,000VND at Vietnamese joints. I usually go to Kally Huong on 52 Hang Buom street where the pedicures are about 15,000 and with drawings 25-35,000 (minus the massage chairs and expensive nail polish). All the other places in the old quarter charge $3.

I pop in here and there when I see a place and rarely pay more than $3 USD. I have never had my feet butchered, but the comfort level during varies greatly I must say.

Agree with travelgoddess ... I go to Hien's on Yen Phu and they are always amazing. It doesn't look like much, but they are always busy and the staff are so sweet. They do a great foot treatment and pedicure. I highly recommend them. Never lost a toe (or finger for that matter!) in the last 3 years of using the same lady! Ask for Thu! ;)

Hmm at the moment I am loving The Top Spot just of Nha To..... If cathedral is on your left take your first right and it's about 500 mt down on the right hand side..... When I first went there I actually didn;t go in because basicly I thought my bike won't fit and it looks tiny!!! But there are lovley english speaking therapists..... And everyone always comments on my wonderful painted toenails!!! I have had many a pedicure and waxing here.. THey are very thorough... The downside being everything takes a long time! But give it a shot... I think they are fantastic... (am copying this to add to review them! ) I have also seen alot of well dressed (well off) vietnamese women in here which might make your girlfriend a bit more relaxed about the whole thing. 70,000 for a pedicure..
